Katarzyna Estate marked its best presentation so far in one of the most compatible wine competitions Decanter World Wine Awards 2017.

The “10th Harvest”, Merlot 2015, was awarded the gold medal and this is the only gold medal for Bulgaria this year. With the production of this wine elixir, Katarzyna Estate marks its 10th harvest, which is the best until now from the winery establishment. The Golden Award is of great importance to the winery as Decanter has the fame of the toughest wine contest. The Wine Competition is held in London and is considered one of the most prestigious in the world. Wines are rated by the best tasters from around the world, including Masters of Wine and Master Sommelier (the highest titles in wine and sommelier education). All wines pass through precise selection – “blind testing” and region and price classification. Namely for this reason, the Decanter Awards are so desirable for wine producers.

With a silver medal is awarded “La Verite” 2015 and bronze received one of the most significant Katarzyna Estate wines - “Encore Malbec” and “Encore Syrah” 2015. Katarzyna “Question Mark” 2012 is awarded with the special label  - “Commmended wine”.
