A record eight medals for Katarzyna in China

Katarzyna Estate achieved huge success with China Wine & Spirits Awards 2019. The eight wines the winery participated in came back with six gold and two silver medals. Katarzyna Estate is the only Bulgarian winery to which the jury in China awarded so many medals. With Gold medals were honored Katarzyna Estate’s “flagships” – Question Mark Gold 2015 and Encore Syrah 2017, as well as Chopin Ballade 2016, Katarzyna Mavrud 2017, Katarzyna Reserve 2015, Le Rouge 2017. Silver medals were awarded to 11 Harvest Merlot 2016 and Encore Malbec 2017.
The CWSA (China Wine & Spirits Awards) is the largest and most prestigious wine and spirits competition in China and Hong Kong. The judges of the competition are very carefully selected among the top wine and alcohol buyers, importers, distributors and sommeliers from the key regions and cities in China and Hong Kong. According to CNN, the CWSA is “the most influential wine and spirits competition in the world.” The competition jury is responsible for evaluating over 90 million bottles of different manufacturers participating in the competition.

China and Hong Kong are a fast-growing markets with huge potential and the imposition and sale of our wines is of strategic importance to us, “said Tsvetelina Nikolova, Managing Director of Katarzyna Estate.
According to the wine expert Xueywan Sheng of Winsente Wine in Shanghai, CWSA medals are “a direct and fast connection to customers and distributors seeking quality wines in this huge market”.
