The 2020 vintage was exceptional, it could even be defined as one of the best for Katarzyna Estate. It inspired our winemakers, Svilen and Ivan Kisyovi, to create the Single Barrel – project an extremely limited series with which we aimed to build upon everything so far and create something truly special. We selected four red grape varieties, from which we vinified only one single barrel of 225 liters each, and bottled only 150 magnum bottles. We handpicked the best grapes from the best plots, with fermentation carried out in new French oak barrels, followed by 10 months of aging. We chose four red varieties, selected in a way that best expresses the terroir and its character — Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah.

The aroma features notes of black fruits and spices, perfectly complementing the wine's flavor profile. The taste is very intense, yet exceptionally balanced and refined. „ The Single Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon “ boasts a long-lasting and memorable aftertaste.
The wine is combined wonderfully with aged cheeses, game meat, spicy pasta, and red meats.
