During an official ceremony, the “Golden Cellar of Bulgaria” awards for 2025 were presented, with Katarzyna Estate receiving a special prize for “Promoting Bulgaria’s image at international wine competitions.” This distinction is awarded for the first time and is a recognition of the winery’s long-standing successful presence on the global wine scene, as well as its contribution to popularizing Bulgarian wine.
The format 'Golden Cellar of Bulgaria', organized by exporter.bg, has for more than ten years honored the leading wine brands in the country. The awards are determined based on the combined voting of a panel of professionals and consumers, which makes them a strong indicator both of expert assessment and of public trust.
With over 150 awards from prestigious wine competitions such as Syrah du Monde, Decanter World Wine Awards, and Mundus Vini, Katarzyna Estate is the most awarded Bulgarian winery. In the latest editions of Decanter alone, all wines presented by Katarzyna Estate have been awarded medals.
The success of the winery at Mundus Vini, one of the most prestigious international wine competitions, is especially significant, where for two consecutive years Katarzyna Estate has won the prize for 'Best Bulgarian Producer.' In the latest anniversary edition of the competition, it also received a special award for overall performance over the years. These are recognitions for its exceptionally high quality and established leadership position in Bulgarian wine production.
It is precisely this year, when Katarzyna Estate celebrates 20 years since its first harvest, that the winery receives some of its most significant international recognitions in its history. These distinctions are evidence of the high standards, uncompromising quality, and consistency with which it builds its style and reputation, as well as its pursuit of perfection at every stage of the process, from the vineyard to the bottle.
